The Bella Vista Condominiums is a 100-unit luxury condominium complex on Florida’s Atlantic coast in Daytona Beach Shores. The 10-story, 430,000 square foot building includes residential floors, public amenities including multiples pools, a spa, and fitness center, as well as an underground parking garage. The units feature granite, marble, and ceramic tile.
John Purdy served as the Project Executive on the project. The development presented construction challenges due to its location on the beach and the complexity of the extensive curved exterior design. John oversaw extensive foundation work: a 50,000 square foot foundation 30 feet underground, 30 foot retaining walls, and full time dewatering due to the ocean’s water table. The construction of the building included post-tension decks, masonry and stucco exterior, light gage metal interior walls, and a single-ply roof.
